# Find rentals

GET https://api.fleetwire.io/api/partners/v1/companies/{company_id}/rentals

Rentals, with no renter details. Two ways to ask:

- **One lookup:** `plate` and `at` return the rental that had that plate at that moment, or an empty list. Optional: if you skip it, Fleetwire matches charges by plate and time itself.
- **A period:** `from` and `to` (at most 93 days apart) return every rental whose trip overlaps the window, paginated, cancelled ones included. Use it for per-rental fees such as a registration fee.

Send one pair or the other, not both. Unconfirmed booking requests are never listed.

Reference: https://docs.fleetwire.io/api-reference/partner-api-vehicles-and-rentals/partner-find-rental

## Authentication

- `Authorization` header (bearer token, required) — Your partner key, starting with `fwp_`, sent as `Authorization: Bearer fwp_…`. Keep it server-side. Fleetwire can rotate it at any time; the old key stops working as soon as a new one is issued.

## Servers

- `https://api.fleetwire.io/api` (Production, default)
- `https://staging.fleetwire.io/api` (Sandbox (Partner API))

## Request

### Path parameters

- `company_id` (string, required) — The Fleetwire company ID from `GET /companies`.

### Query parameters

- `plate` (string, optional) — With `at`: the plate to look up.
- `at` (datetime, optional) — With `plate`: the moment to look up.
- `from` (datetime, optional) — With `to`: start of the period. e.g. `2026-10-01T00:00:00Z`.
- `to` (datetime, optional) — With `from`: end of the period, at most 93 days after `from`. e.g. `2026-10-31T23:59:59Z`.
- `page` (integer, optional, default: 1) — Period only.
- `per_page` (integer, optional, default: 100) — Period only.

## Response

### 200

The matching rentals. `meta` is present for a period.

- `data` (list of PartnerRental, required)
- `meta` (PartnerPageMeta, optional)

## Errors

### 401 Unauthorized Error

Missing, wrong or revoked partner key.

- `error` (PartnerErrorError, required)

### 404 Not Found Error

Unknown company, or it hasn't turned you on, or turned you off. Stop sending for this company.

- `error` (PartnerErrorError, required)

### 422 Unprocessable Entity Error

The request is invalid. `error.fields` lists each problem.

- `error` (PartnerErrorError, required)

### 429 Too Many Requests Error

More than 600 requests in a minute. Wait for the `Retry-After` header (seconds).

- `message` (string, optional)

## Types

### PartnerRental

- `rental_id` (string, required)
- `listing_id` (string, required)

  - Allowed values: `booked`, `in_progress`, `completed`, `canceled`
- `timezone` (string, required)
- `starts_at` (datetime, required)
- `ends_at` (datetime, required)

### PartnerPageMeta

- `next_page` (integer, required, nullable) — `null` on the last page.

### PartnerErrorError

  - Allowed values: `invalid_key`, `company_not_connected`, `not_found`, `external_id_conflict`, `validation_failed`
- `message` (string, required)
